Some extra things I noticed in Morocco:

When I was waiting in the line for the bathroom, a lady came in after me and walked into the stalls and completely ignored me. And another lady came in and did exactly the same thing.

What…is there no concept of lining up, taking turns and respecting other people’s place in line..?

Then, another time I was in the line for the bathroom again. A young girl came in and tried to go straight in, ignoring everyone else. Then a lady in front of me yelled at her and sounded like “I was here first!”

… I simply couldn’t understand this system.

Driving was another thing.

A one lane road somehow becomes a three lanes. Cars and motorbikes are driving really narrow little alleys or even through the crowds! Somehow people are incredibly good at getting out of each other’s way.

But when it comes to people, things were more interesting.

The owner of a small family-run restaurant invited me to come back the next day and watch them cooking.

The man at the bus station was such a Mr. Smiley πŸ™‚

Some people were shy. Some were friendly. And yes, many people were pretty pushy, too.

I can’t put it into words though…

People seemed a little more straightforward somehow. Maybe there was something simpler about the way people interacted with each other.

And cats.

Cats, cats… cats are everywhere!
